Through the Bluebells to Rannerdale Knotts
There is always a good show of Bluebells at Rannerdale at the beginning of May. This is a recent shot of Through the Bluebells to Rannerdale Knotts at 6.30 am in the morning when the light was just catching the fellside. They have now roped off the main section of bluebells to protect therm - some one said to me recently it takes around 7 years for them to start flowering from small bulb-lets so I suppose you can see why it's so important to keep these beautiful spring flowers as striking and impressive as possible.
