Bassenthwaite Lake
Bassenthwaite Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Lake District. It lies at the foot of Skiddaw, near the market town of Keswick. Ospreys have nested in the woods along its shores since 2001. Bassenthwaite Sailing Club lies on its northern shore which is the home of the famous Bass Week Sailing Regatta which is held there annually.
