Image on poster at Finsbury Park Tube Station

An eagle eyed person recently spotted one of my images of Derwentwater on a poster at Finsbury Park Tube Station.

The poster forms part of the current North West Development Agency’s campaign to attract visitors to the North West of England and, in this case, the Lake District. It was very exciting to see the image blown up to such a large size - 16 sheet or 120” x 80” and all credit to my Canon EOS 5D Mark 2 that it was still pin sharp even at this size.Sheila did try an experiment to check that the resolution would be OK in Photoshop on our desktop PC and, of course, brought it to its knees. She then split it down into 16 and tried the same experiment with one of the sections and it still took it all it’s time! No lasting damage thank goodness.

I was just sorry that commitments prevented me from popping down to see it in person.
