Just back from a 4 day visit to Glencoe

Just back from a 4 day visit to Glencoe. Weather and conditions were great for photography three out of the four days especially when I was taking images of Buachaille Etive Mor after a night of heavy frost and temperatures down to -4 degrees. Check out the Buachaille shot in the Latest Work collection. Although there was a lot of snow on the tops and icy conditions, I decided to climb to the “Hidden Valley’ of Glencoe. I’ve heard a great deal about it and seen many a picture on the web. It’s not a long walk but you have to be careful in places as there have been a few fatalities recently. The valley itself is quite spectacular set amongst some of the highest mountains in the area. It’s a shame the weather wasn’t kind to me although it gives me an excuse to go back again. I saw plenty of wild deer in the glens and I was able to get surprisingly close on some occasions as you can tell by this image. I’m now trying to plan a trip to the Isle of Skye with hopefully the same weather. I have not been very lucky there so far with bad weather on my last 3 trips!!
