Sunset on one of Gormley's statues Crosby Beach
December 13th 2009
I had a spare couple of hours this afternoon and looked out of my lounge window at Preston and thought it was going to be a great sunset where can I go !! Sheila mentioned going to Crosby Beach to capture the sunset behind Antony Gormley’s statues. I managed to get there in plenty of time and get set up with my new 16 - 35mm mk 11 L series lens. At first the sunset was slightly dissappointing but I shouldn’t have worried, after a couple of minutes after the sun had set this dramatic sunset emerged. Just a piece of advice, never leave a location just after the sun has set, if you wait a few minutes after a so so sunset they can turn really dramatic.
