Peace and tranquility at Buttermere

April 14th 2010

I had a course booked for this day, but the participants were not keen to go out as showers were predicted and they decided to re-schedule. Knowing the area as I do, I know that the weather can be very different if you just travel just a few short miles, particularly over to the west, and you can soon escape poor conditions. If I had a pound for the number of times that that has happened, I would be a rich man.
Lo and behold, I went round to Buttermere with my camera so as not to waste the day and the sun was out . I was rewarded with fabulous cloud formations and almost no wind at all. Fantastic conditions for photography.
The resulting image is one that I am very pleased with and which has been an excellent seller at exhibitions.
