Skiddaw from the 'Access for All' path, Latrigg

February 3rd 2010

The ‘Access for All’ path starts from the car park on Gale Road beside Madden Dodd at the head of a minor road just outside Keswick. It was built to allow wheel chairs and push chairs to gain the summit of Latrigg and share in the great view that you get from there which reaches as far as Scafell Pike on a fine day.

This image was taken part way up the path and shows a snow-topped Skiddaw and Skiddaw Lower (or sometimes called Lesser) Man. You can also see the long steep slog of a rough zig-zag path that goes up Jenkin Hill and onwards through the gate to the summit.
