Moonrise over Clough Head from Tewet Tarn

Of all the images I have taken in recent months, this is one of my favourites. I noticed that the moon was gradually moving towards the loan tree which I thought might make the image. I had to wait for a couple of hours before the moon had gone into the right position but by this time I had lost the feeling in both hands due to the cold !!. My wait was rewarded with the wind dropping and a perfect reflection of the moon, tree and Clough Head appearing in the tarn.

Canon EOS 5D MK II, Canon ‘L’ series 24-105mm lens, 1 sec @ f11 ISO 100 0.6 Lee ND grad filter
