Frost on the Road to the Isles

January 15th 2009

This is the view that appeared when driving along the ‘Road to the Isles’ (A82) towards Mallaig on New Years day. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw how much frost there was on this avenue of trees. It was quite spectacular to see a clear line of frost dividing trees where the sun had touched them and where they were mostly in shade.
