Eigg and Rum from Caimbe Beach

January 7th 2009

Thanks to a great article on the Clachaig Inn website, we decided to visit some of the stunning beaches lying between Arisaig and Morar. Both of us having been born and bred in Blackpool had given us a fair idea of what a beach normally looks like. But not here. No grey sea and questionable flotsam and jetsam, just white sand and turquoise waters, a view out to see to die for and the sound of the sea birds calling to each other.
It was too cold to paddle at -2 degrees but ‘perhaps next time’ as Duffy said to my daughter after she had waited for 2 hours in the freezing cold after a concert just for an autograph.
