December morning on the Road to the Isles (1)
January 8th 2009
Driving along the ‘Road to the Isles’ (A82) towards Mallaig, we past a stretch of road near the Glenfinnan Monument where the frost had stayed on the trees for several days. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw these trees which were lit up like Christmas Tres by the early morning sun against clear blue skies. This stretch of road will live with me for sometime and I hope this image captures how cold it was and how spectacular it must have been looking down the avenue of trees.
