Derwentwater from Latrigg

October 1st 2004

I drew back my curtains to find that the clouds were lying low over Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater and the weather was fine and dry at last.
I made my way down to Bassenthwaite Sailing Club where I got some great images, jumped back into the car and drove on towards Keswick.I parked quickly at the top of Gale Road and ran off up towards the summit of Latrigg as I had only 45 minutes before I had to open up my exhibition at the Moot Hall. The Derwent fells were quite spectacular with the clouds still hanging on the fell tops. You can find a smaller image that I took at the same time in the Latest Additions gallery.
The run made me quite hot and sweaty and I hope that it was not too off-putting for the visitors to the show that day.
