Location: Derwentwater from the summit of Castlehead
I often do the easy climb of Castlehead to see what the view is like over Derwentwater. I knew on this occasion it would be beautiful as there was a covering of ice on Derwentwater which was melting fast and some of the fells on the western side of the lake had a lovely covering of snow. Again I wasn’t disappointed with this view. I have a similar image to this taken in summer - both are classic shots of this popular view.
