Collection: Scotland
Scotland is a place very close to my heart. I think if Sheila would move up there, I would definitely go. The light is so different to anywhere else I have ever photographed with the lochs and the high mountains making it a truly spectacular place. We have made some great friends on our travels to this warm and friendly area.
I make it a priority to try and get up there at least 2 or 3 times a year and have spent this year exploring some of the islands in the Inner and Outer Hebrides. In my sights for next year is the spectacular area of Wester Ross, Isle of Skye (again for the fourth time still looking for some decent weather) and maybe one of the remoter islands in either the Orkneys or Shetlands. So keep an eye on this Gallery for lots of new entries in the new year
Best Selling Images of Scotland
These are my best selling images of Scotland. Whilst they represent only a small percentage of my portfolio, the rest of which you can find in their individual Collections, they consistently prove to be the most popular. It’s a list of images that has...
Scottish Panoramas
Panoramic images have greatly increased in popularity over the last few years. I normally mount my camera on a tripod and take two or three images which are then ‘stitched’ together using specialist software. Sometimes however, I will simply take a single image with the...
Glencoe & Rannoch Moor
This is one of my favourite places in Scotland for taking photographs. It contains, in my opinion, some of the wildest and most dramatic scenery in the country. The view to Buachaille Etive Mor seen from the River Coupall Falls, Glen Etive, the view across...
Road to the Isles
The Road to the Isles that runs from Fort William to Mallaig, followed by both the West Highland Railway and the narrow winding A830, crosses the mountains and glens of the Rough Bounds before reaching Arisaig onto a spectacularly scenic coast of sheltered inlets, stunning...
Argyll & Bute
Argyll & Bute has some wonderful mountains, fantastic seascapes and a glorious coastline, not to mention idyllic islands and all within a short drive from Glasgow. We visited in February 2010 when the weather was glorious. Clear blue skies, not a breath of wind and a dusting...
